I run a program on a few of my windows servers that creates "a lot of files/logs" these files and logs can be created and deleted within seconds, of course this plays havoc with windows file indexing and produces at least 50% of the processor working time while it continually indexes files that really do not need to be indexed, obviously I need to replace hard drives at least every couple of years because the multiple read writes just wear them out. Here is an interesting one that I will put out there, would appreciate any feedback as I am actively searching this issue myself and hope someone has had this one before?
